Osteopathy Services

Osteopathy is an Allied Health profession that incorporates a holistic approach to manual “hands on” therapy. It is based on theories that a disturbance to one system of the human body has effects on the other systems within the body. It also theorises that the body has the ability to self-heal under the right conditions. As Osteopaths, we use the whole body and multi system approach through multiple techniques to assist the body and encourage its self-healing mechanisms. Osteopaths are trained to assess, examine and diagnose patients, treat and/or refer as required and provide rehabilitation to prevent re-injury. The aim of an osteopathic treatment is to not only treat the symptoms but to understand and identify the cause and base treatment off how we can prevent this from occurring again.
